Aiming to rebuild-reveal
the image of the city, the Hidden
City
project is an original composition with
visuals of six feature
fiction films, where the city has a special place.
An unknown city burst
through the films of Dimitri Athanitis. From the black-white
first films to
the hard blue of the last one, unexpected images
come out to recompose a town unknown, eerie,
hidden well. Spaces are
filmed as if they were persons. Breathe
hollow, have strong signs of life. Sites that
no longer exist, places that have been transformed,
spaces that one can not ‘read’. A hidden city.
